Microsoft begins re-releasing Windows 10 October update after fixing file deletion bug

Windows 10 LogoMicrosoft is re-releasing its Windows 10 October 2018 Update today, following the company pulling it offline due to data deletion issues over the weekend. The software giant says there were only a few reports of data loss, at a rate of one one-hundredth of one percent. “We have fully investigated all reports of data loss, identified and fixed all known issues in the update, and conducted internal validation,” says Microsoft’s John Cable, director of program management for Windows Servicing and Delivery.

Microsoft Has Finalized Windows 10 Redstone 4 (version 1803 - Spring Creators Update) RTM Build

Microsoft is yet to share the date or the name of the next Windows 10 version. Codenamed Redstone 4 and known as Windows 10 Spring Creators Update in the public, Microsoft is reportedly ready to start shipping it out to the normal users. The company released Windows 10 Redstone 4 Insider Preview Build 17128 last week removing watermark and introducing no new features or changes. However, Windows maker was quick to add that this doesn’t hint at the completion of development of Windows 10 1803.

Windows 10 version 1607 (Anniversary Update) has RTM'd

Windows-10-LogoMicrosoft execs don't want us to use RTM (release to manufacturing) or even RTW (release to Web) any more, now that Windows 10 is a continually updated "service," but most of us still are using the RTM convention to refer to the build that ultimately will go to "normals" who aren't in the Windows Insider program.
